    Hope you didn't mean me. I always put the lights up in the fall, living in Maine ,it will soon be to darn cold ,to mess with Christmas lights. So on a nice fall day up they go.

    Wow! I saw people around here with Halloween stuff up and I thought that was pretty darn early. I decorate early, but we can't forget about Thanksgiving!! :rolleyes008:

    I was just going to say the same Shelly . I thought about putting Halloween stuff up , but thought its still too early . I kept my Christmas lights up around my windows outside last year . Hopefully, they will work when I plug them in . If not, they are coming down and in the trash they are going . My electric bill is always too high anyway .

    You do make a very valid point, GrammiePo! In Maine there is no winter decorating. Freeze your hands to the siding you would.

    I know that people who do REALLY big displays start very early...that's why we start on ours Thanksgiving morning. Not that big...
