Oh poo! So Steven could have been spared that nightmare week if it wasn't for scaremongering.

He still has a dent in his temple from a spot.:(

    I remember having chicken pox.

I remember having mumps when I was 7. I felt totally wretched. I still remember how sick I felt.
agreed... chicken pox is the only one of the common ones that I remember having and it was not good. I didnt get it until I was doing my masters degree and I remember just about making it home on the train with the worst headache ever and then just basically falling down on the couch. Absolutely terrible week. I'd definitely be in favour of anything that helped to prevent it

Daniel has a massive pox scar on the end of his nose bless him - hard to stop a 15 month old scratching.

So if the cervical cancer vaccine has to be given to girls before they become sexually active why are they starting off with year 8 girls and not year 10/11 girls?
Or are they saying that there's no point as most kids will have had sex by then?

Blimey what part of the country had the statistics that told them their prime targets were 12/13 year olds!

DD Sarah's school has told her she won't get it until next year, she is in 4th year. I wouldn't hesitate to give permission to vaccinate.

I wish they had released the chicken pox vaccination, then oldest DD might not have had two cases of shingles before she was 12:mad:
