Thread: Last nights space pics - wacawacawacawaca

    First was another go at Andromeda - getting better each time but still quite a long way to go. The black stripes are dust lanes in the galaxy (it is a spiral seen edge on) the blobs above and below are 2 more Galaxies. and again the awe from this is that the photons generated by the billions of suns in this thing left their stars 2.8 million years ago and ended up on the ccd in the back of my camera :D

    5x 180s subs at ISO1600 f6 Skywatcher ed80 pro on a HEQ5synscan mount unguided- dark subtaction and offsets



    At about 1 am it was high overhead and just visible out of the corner of your eye as you looked up.


    And this Nebula I have been after for a while and resembles a certain 80's video came star wacawacawaca

    9x180s subs at iso1600
