Well done to Lisa for hunting this fab gift out for you. I think DH would love one of those too....so that's his next birthday gift sorted

You'll have to let us know if you have any birds nesting in it once it's up :p015: I think it takes a while before you'll get birds in there as they have to get used to the box and trust it

We have a surprisingly diverse variety of birds considering we are only 100 yeards away from the sea i'm sure we'll have some tenants just got to make sure we set it up close enough for the wires to reach yet secure enough for the birdies to feel safe - not sure I'll be drilling through the walls though

    That is awesome.

I have nesting boxes in the garden and we spend a fortune on bird food (most of which the dog consumes). And I got into it through Springwatch too. :D

I was very excited a couple of weeks back to spot 12 goldfinches while out on a cache walk. Thanks to Bill Oddie they are not just "pretty birds" anymore.

You're so lucky. We see nothing. The downside of owning a cat. :(

we have cats but they are pretty ineffectual at attacking birds - we have gotten so many more species by adding asprinking of dried mealworms to the feeding tray
