    Where is good to get a passport photo? Are there any specific instructions on how to do one these days ?

    i usually go to the little booths

    It's still better to go to a booth or somewhere similar it's a very precarious business trying to get the head size right yourself, I did dh earlier this year & got knocked back!

    Photographic shops like Photo Optix (and i think Jessops) do digital ones now for not much more than the booths - we had such a palaver last year getting the kids right in the booth that I wish we had gone to a shop first off.

    To be honest there are so many rules now that I would pay the extra and get a photographer to do it. Most of them will retake free if the passport office reject them.
