Okay, I'm so gonna date myself here, but my very first was the Beatles White album which I still have somewhere packed away with all the other old records we have.

It's a toss up between Parallel Lines by Blondie or Dare by The Human League. I think I bought them close together but can't remember which one first.

    Roger is still MUY CALIENTE......

And what the enemy will see? They will see the flash of our cannons, and they will hear the ringing of our swords, and they will know what we can do! By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! Gentlemen, hoist the colors!

My first purchase was a vinyl copy of Blondie's Eat to the Beat. I was in elementary school, lol.

    Vinyl. LP.

Herbie Mann's "Our Man Flute" ca. 1962-63. Can't remember which year it was. Still have it, but one edge is a bit wavey. That's what happens when you live in a warm climate and forget to remove them from the turntable!

That was my one and only until I was at university. Bought an Aaron Copland album--and still have that one. In much better condition, thank goodness!
