An absolute bargain for the price.

i got the canon 400d in May and absolutely love it. Different people love different makes and i think the best thing to do is to go into somewhere like jessops and have a little play with them- see how they feel. Also to bear in mind is the range of lenses and accesories that there are to go with them. When you decide on a make you are committing yourself to that make as the lenses will fit your new camera when you decide to upgrade so it's quite an important decision.

I have had the Canon 400D for over 12 months now and it has been brilliant. It comes with what they call the kit lens (18mm - 55mm) for about £400.

Is that just a European camera (400D) not sure if we have that name for it here. or do we. If not, do you know the US equivalent?

Thanks Britchick, that is the one we (daughter and I) were looking at. She would like one for college (plans to study art - photography). They had one at Sam's Club.
