    Not to give offense to anyone else at all, but I find facebook to be an unwelcome risk. But then, we all know how pathologically private I can be.

    As usual, I'm with Tink about privacy. I don't think I'm paranoid, but I really don't want information about me floating about on the internet. It's open to everyone--including government entities, employers, current and former colleagues, and hackers who may be less than ethical...

    You get the idea. If any part of your name, email address or anything that can linked to you ever appears on those sites, your privacy quite likely is nil. Not something I care to risk.

    I'll stick to this and a couple of other message boards, thank you! There always are risks to using public forums, but I think there is less here than places like Facebook or MySpace. :)
