For now it is all onsite for us :p015: We love it and I can't think of doing it any other way. Now I would like to try a villa someday..oh and my Grandparents also own a small trailer type home in Deland FL, for the winter season, and they always tell us we are welcome to stay there. Someday we will take them up on that.

We have done all 3 and i much prefer staying in a villa. You get to relax and are not all cramed into one room. I did like the transport when we stayed at Disney. Its a villa for us next year again.

We`ve stayed at the GF oodles of times and first impressions can be very misleading. You soon get to realise that it`s not "stuffy" at all and many [if not all] of the CM`s there bend over backwards to make sure that you have a great stay there.
If you want great service, a nice location and probably the best of the on site restaurants to choose from, the the GF can`t be beat IMHO.
Totally agree, we don't find the GF at all stuffy or snobby - it is wonderful :)

Onsite for us - we don't spend any time at all in our room and my idea of relaxing is to take a walk or have a drink and people watch or shop :D so I would rather 'relax' in one of the disney resorts in the heart of it all. :p015:

Onsite...my momma bought the family DVC...330 points

And what the enemy will see? They will see the flash of our cannons, and they will hear the ringing of our swords, and they will know what we can do! By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! Gentlemen, hoist the colors!

if i could drive, i would probs do a villa with a couple of nights on site.... but I do love being onsite.
So now I am trying to save for DVC... best of both worlds.

I love doing 7 days off site and the rest of the holiday on site. In that way I can do all the theme parks in and around I Drive as well as the malls, and then complete the holiday at a hotel on site. Like Val I dont drive when Im there so it limits my options slightly.

For us we are doing a bit of both.

9 nights at 'home' on BCV our first visit
    9 nights Villa
    3 nights Clearwater

Last trip we spent 3 weeks in a villa and while we loved it, I did find the evenings very quiet and hated that fact we had do drive everywhere. I dont drive when in Orlando so DH had to drive me everywhere, dont get me wrong he had no probs doing this. However, next time I can pop over to Epcot or DHS with my daughter,
