wooosh - i've just been watching the events of yesterday on TV, with some clips of Martin Luther King in there too. It was incredibly emotional just watching it, i can't even *begin* to imagine how it actually felt for you all to be involved in it.....

It was a wonderful event for us. I voted for Obama, my wife canceled out my vote... but Virginia came through. There is a lot of rancor, the race got sort of nasty towards the end, but Senator McCain was just wonderful in his speech last night. He is a great American, I wish that he showed this face (which I believe to be his real character) during the campaign. It seems to me that he was swayed by the "Carl Rove" types in the RNC. I wish him the best. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama called upon McCain during his term for input.

Debbie, there is no doubt that Senator McCain is a good man and a great American. I wish America got a chance to see this side of him during the campaign. Things may have gone his way.

My Hubby is overjoyed about the new President. I am worried that he will be assassinated soon :( He seems a good guy and I hope it lasts and he doesn't turn out to be liar like Blair.
