This is an annual argument erm discussion :) here. I want a real one for the smell but everyone else hates the needles that fall even with the coated ones and the disposal of it.

    What do you go for?

And what the enemy will see? They will see the flash of our cannons, and they will hear the ringing of our swords, and they will know what we can do! By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! Gentlemen, hoist the colors!

Artificial. Real trees in Florida are not so great, plus they don't have the expected pine scent. It's weird.

Always a real one! It wouldn't be Christmas without one. I buy a Nordman Fir which loses little or no needles.

We have to have a real tree, Chris loves the smell and I just can't convince him to have an artificial one he says it wouldn't be Christmas without the smell of a real tree :D

a real one in the living room and a small artificial one in my dining room, although we've just ordered a new carpet for the living room so I'm a bit worried about getting the carpet wet when I'm watering the tree. An offcut of the carpet can go under it i suppose.

Artificial - I need a big tree but we don't have a lot of room so our tree is tall (7 1/2 feet) but quite slim so I can still get lots on it. :p015:

We have a real potted one that we put outside with lights on - we have had it about 5 years now - we put it back in the garden each year and forget about it and the following year it is still fine just grown a bit. The best 15 we ever spent
