Good that you got your money back. Although it was a bit of a pain getting there, at least you can now purchase something with which you will be more satisfied.

oh you know, I just need to input a little bit here as a long time buyer of gadgets and seemingly the most unlucky individual in the world for buying ones that go wrong :(

Even if fujitsu said hey get your money back, I know MANY a camera store that would have told you they were sending it back to fuji for comment BEFORE giving you your money back.

In my very humble opinion, runaround and phone problems aside, you did well out of Tesco getting your money back after this time had elapsed.

Ask me sometimes about the company that shipped me an empty monitor box and then tried to report me for fraud when I complained.. (luckily an empty box weighs a lot less than a full one and the delivery company kept records).

How about the camera store that insisted that a camera that had 100s of bad pixels (specs of light or dark patches on the photos) was perfectly acceptable.

Then there's the BMW dealership that sold me one car and tried to give me the same model but a lower spec one on the actual day ;) "really? leather seats you say? nav system? alloy wheels? no sir we've never had one of those in stock here I think you must be mistaken" -- as the one I'd bought with all the fancy bits was backing up behind him into the one of the showroom bays

So honestly, I don't think Tesco did ALLLLLL that badly ;)

I always buy the InStore warranty...that way if something goes wrong..I just hand them my warranty and they fix/replace whatever it is that busted. Plus, they've dealt with me before and they try to get me in and out as fast as possible. I tend to get loud...not rude, but loud. :)
Glad you got that all straightened out Josh...you stuck it out longer than I would have :)
