You know that at Thanksgiving you all eat tons of food and then sit down to watch the football game on tv?

Well is it a specific or special game that you all watch nationwide, or do you get your local team showing where you are?

Everyone generally watches whatever game is on in their area or who ever they are rooting for. In my house football is not allowed, we usually watch a movie or play games etc.

So they don't have one big Superbowl type game - you just watch whoever is on?

In our house it's an NFL game with teams we want to watch...if we can't watch a game with a team we like then we break out the board games :).... We also watch the Thanksgiving day parades...those are fun :)

Because we didn't leave our country, sail across an ocean, and forget to take enough food with us and have to be saved by the indiginous population.

When I was MUCH younger the Thanksgiving Day tradition was the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The ONLY NFL game was the Detroit Lions vs the Green Bay Packers and there were several college games. In the evening there were usually some holiday shows of some sort on. Then the Dallas Cowboys (BOO HISS) decided to host a Turkey Day game. Then the colleges decided to play on Friday instead of Thursday. This year there were/are 3 NFL games. Yes Detroit and Dallas both still play but not each other nor normally a traditional rivalry. This year it was Detroit/Tennessee - Won by Tennessee 47-10, Dallas/Seattle - won by Dallas 34-9. The third game today is Philadelphia/Arizona and at last count Philadelphia was up 21-0. The only college game is Texas/Texas A&M and Texas was leading there 14-0
