Oh Josh, I'm sorry thinks are a bit tough with Sonny. Can you try behaviour lessons?

Oh geez. That is pretty aggressive. Maybe some obedience training would help. But you are absolutely right. A growling dog is not a good idea with a baby around.

He's been to Puppy classes and, although I don't like to say this, I blame my Mum. She treats him like a baby, and he thinks he is right at the top of the pack, which is a big . It's a tough time but she seems to be taking on board what we've told her. He's no longer allowed on the couch and we don't make a fuss of him when we come in the house, simply let him out of his crate. He doesn't eat until we have, either. That just depends on how long Mum keeps it up though, she really doesn't understand that he needs to be at the bottom of the pack.

Awwww, she's loving him, Josh. But I do totally understand what you mean.

You have to step into the dog's world to get a handle on his behavior.

It'll be too bad if he has to go, though. :(

I've actually made a significant break-through with my Mum.
Last night I had a chat with her- Sonny is no longer allowed on the couch, beds, or in bedrooms. AND he has to wait for us to eat before he gets fed.

I'll work on general obidience stuff with him too. He is an obidient Dog, when he knows who's boss (For instance myself or my dad) it's just a case of him getting to know that Mum is his boss, not the other way around!
