Although I love all sorts of cookies, my all time favorite is sugar cookies with powdered sugar frosting. I could gorge myself on these alllllllll day and not look back once

My mom and I use to make them during the holidays. She cut them out and I frosted. I think I ate more frosting than what got on them. Last year she sent me 3 containers of them and I ate them all in about 4 days. I think all I ate were cookies.

Sadly this year, i have told her no cookies, as I am losing weight. It took everything that i had to say no. Good bye cookies

Oh yes! Its lovely and very easy to find in almost every food store in the UK. I have mine tucked away so that no one can touch it until Christmas. Johnie, do you have a recipe for red velvet cake? I hadnt heard of it until I saw it in Sea World. - always looking for ideas!

Foreverducky, it's so hard, isn't it? Those are the cookies that Herself makes so very well. Fortunately they are not my favorite. She and Seth had wicked fun the year he lived with us.

We can get stollen here in the World Market and in the Fresh Market. I'm always drawn to it, but the melting powdered sugar always turns me off.

Remind me! I'm in SC and will forget to post the recipe! Heck, I still owe you all the eggnog recipe!

Be careful with the strufoli, Shellyamc. The more you handle it, the tougher it gets and that's what you want to avoid.

Definitely wait for Grandma's recipe! Red Velvet cake is one of those things where you want a trusted source for the recipe.
