Just checking the freezer and I have found some cod steaks that were frozen down earlier in the year. Does anyone know how long it is safe to keep fish in the freezer?

Once you thaw them you'll notice any freezer burnt areas. If it's just a tiny bit, trim it and have a go at cooking them. If it's more than just a touch, toss them. Even though they may not have an unpleasant odor, they'll taste nasty if they are burnt.
