Had my first asthma attack on Sunday night. I have been feeling so yuck with this cold thingy and it had left me with a hacking cough. We had been out and i just didn't feel like drinking and just felt a bit bleugh. Came home and went to bed and then woke up at 12.00am gasping for breath. This next part now gets quite funny. I started coughing and coughing and struggling to get breath out. So i went to the bathroom ( i have had 3 very large babies and if theres alot of coughing involved i need to be near(think on) the loo
I am trying to sip water and think that l need my DD very old out of date inhaler which is at the back of the cupboard. DH comes into pass me a drink and l gasp get me Zoe's inhaler. He looks a bit stunned at me and goes off comes back and hands it to me. Cut this short inhaler did it's job and after 30 mins i was breathing better. Got back into bed DH said "you alright now, cos l was thinking how would i explain to your parents that you had passed on Elvis Style. " He's a keeper
Anyways have new indate inhalers and yesterday did Tescos shop at 6.30a.m out by 9.00a.m. Then went into town and managed to float the whole of the bucks economy.

Scary stuff! Glad you're feeling better. I fully understand, as a mother of 3, the whole coughing/loo thing!

Jaysus Siobhan! Keep that inhaler a bit more handy when you get a chest on ya' willya'? Don't need any nasty scares. I'm too old to deal with the stress of 'em!

Seriously. Glad to know you are ok.
