I left a rubber snake in a cache a while back but I posted a warning on the website so I'm not totally evil. :D

No rubber snakes in the one we went to. Owen probably would have loved it if there was!

I've still got 3 giant rubber rats I picked up when Tesco had a clearance on their Halloween stuff. Need to deposit those in caches soon.

What amazed me when I started reading the geocache site was how seriously people take being "muggled". There were people who travelled many miles to a cache and then reported having to leave without seeing it because there were too many muggles around! I have to say I think I'd be taking my chances after having gone all that way (though of course I can see the point, that if it's spotted it may be destroyed or removed)

I've left a cache unfound due to muggle activity and gone back another day for it. But not after travelling miles to find it. But yes, it's seriously important that muggles do not find caches. They steal them and trash them and generally spoil the fun.

I found a cache once and after signing the log and returning it to its hide I stood up and turned round to see a man sitting in a Land Rover watching what I was doing. I noted that on the website too but thankfully the cache is still safe.

yeah in a way I'm surprised they survive as well as they do

Yep it involves being outdoors away from a computer. And there are sometimes other people. And sometimes they try and converse with youl. I took Adrian out with me once up to Cissbury Ring. He managed to be outdoors for nearly 3 hours. He hasn't been again since though.

I love it though because it takes me places that I didn't even know existed and they are right on my doorstep.

And I always take the camera.

The course costs...hmmm, let me have a browse on the DisneyFlorist site.

You should have seen us yesterday. We were like fugitives waiting for the all clear to retrieve the box from it's hiding place when no one was about!
