ooooooh! Size 12 jeans are fabulous! These aren't 12's by any means, (ok, they are 36s (Levis inches, not size 36!!! ) ) but they do have room in them, and don't squish me. I hate being squished.

Siobhan, Mairead, Sister Tinker, Claire, it's all very hard work eh? As Donna says, pick something that accelerates the loss and stick with it too. I have yet to do that on a consistent basis. I like ellipticals though. They work more of the major muscle groups than treadmills or bikes. I truly just haven't had the time to devote to formal exercise. I sneak it in when I can.

I've not been to the Slimmers club in a long time either! Perhaps we all need to inject a new life into that social group and give each other shoulders to lean on and hands to hold through the scary bits, eh?

Claire, with regard to the hunger, I was thinking about it again last night and for me I think part of it is being knocked out of the low level ketosis that controls the hunger (during the holidays). Sweets will do that faster than anything, and Herself did make those glorious cookies. I didn't make a pig out of myself with them, but I sure did eat some. :D

Nice try Dawn. Ain't gonna happen any time soon. You'll just have to wait until you are here. :D I should be at my goal weight by then, for sure! :D :D

    Woohoo! Way to go Tink!

Seriously doubt I'll ever wear jeans, regardless of my size. I didn't care for them when I was under weight and haven't changed my opinion on my many stops up and down the scale. But I do want to be comfortable in the clothing I like!

Oh you will, Shellyamc. You are going to have two little ones to chase. You'll be wearing a size 2 before they are done with you!

Off topic alert!!!! I had a text from a family member who lives in Mohawk, and she said it was -7 there this morning. STAY WARM!!!!

Isn't it too hot for jeans in Florida?

For the most part yes. We are having a couple of days where the temps are dropping to the 30s though, so I needed something warmer than my usual thin cotton trousers.

One of the reasons I don't wear jeans on a regular basis is that they are too warm for Florida.

John and I joined the wellness program at work and we can exercise up to 3 hours a week during work hours. The gym is right there in our building making it very convenient. Along with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and rowing machines, there are also free weights and resistance devices. We also have a coach to help out and answer questions. This really makes it convenient, and we can go down there when we have the time. I'm trying to get down there 3 times a week. Sometimes it's difficult. But I feel so much better when I do! Let's hope that I will be able to fit into those skinny jeans again someday soon!
