    In my teens it was a 12 hour drive from our house to Cornwall, yet nowadays I can do the same journey in only around 4 hours!

    Takes us 5 hours to do the drive to Cornwall but time always seems to slow down through Dorset.

    That`s because the caravans mainly move in a North-South direction.

    it can still take me 9 hours to get to cornwall!!!! although new years day we did it in 5 1/2

    I'm guessing it's the county as a whole. Sort of a parallel universe type thing.

    My dad used to drive through the night from Surrey to Dorset on our camping holidays it took so long!

    It takes us about 1 hour to Ringwood and 6 hours from there to Bournemouth - 5 miles up the road

    Back on topic! I hate the thought that windsa can make a difference to flight times - I like to think the pilot has more control of the plane than that!
