You can see stars that aren't there!!!!!!

Stars that you can't see with the naked eye - there's bazillions of them out there.

Boy may have to starve tonight.

Dawn your first purchase should probably be one of these

    http://www.telescopesplus.co.uk/more...5_in_-_2x/3207

it goes between the eyepiece and the scope and doubles the magnification - effectively if you have 2 eyepieces it will give you the choice of 4 magnifications rather than 2

These are the ones I have - most retailers seem to have them for this or you can wait for lidls to get another shipment - they do them every 6 months or so - usually sell out within 24 hours though

they are 10x and you will be able to see stuff you can't see with the naked eye -

telescopes aren't a set magnification the magnification you see depends on the eyepice you put in the end. the maximum magnification you can push a telescope to is effectively 50x per inch of aperture so for dawns 3.5 inch it is between 150 - 200 x is the top magnification

I STILL haven't seen Venus through my brand spanking (Chris, don't focus on that word ) new telescope We are having torrential storms here tonight, and last night, and it seems like forever

Think I shall have to move house to Dawn's or Skywatcher's place Have you room for two telescopes Dawn? Oh, and another dog? And 2 cats?
