LOL, ok...maybe I should do a bit of explaining
Yes I *want* to get married (in quite the way Tink has planned for us, well done you  )
I want simple elegance...that's it.
Our plan was to have the wedding this July...however, on Christmas Jon's sister announced she was expecting. She is Jon's closest and dearest friend and he would not DREAM of having a wedding without her there. Unfortunately they've just relocated to Memphis and she is due in early August. Due to some medical issues she'll be unable to travel that close to her due date. So that's put July on hold. We're still considering the fall...however that makes it more difficult for my family to attend. So right now we're torn...
We've considered a winter wedding...perhaps during the Christmas holidays...but we're still tossing it around.
Enter an email this week advertising airfare for a ridiculous amount out of LaGuardia. I jokingly mentioned it to Jon who is now on a mission
My spring break is two weeks in March...hence the date....hence the question....
Are we all clear as muddy water?
If you haven't been I would like to think it would be a great place to visit but it isn't as Small as some people would have you believe
for instance it would take quite a while to hoover it all.
The road networks are nowhere near anything you have in the states so a 30 mile journey can take aaaages down the wiggly windy roads.
If you do chose to come there is so so so so so much more to Britain than London
I agree with Chris, just as an example, I live in Plymouth, to drive to London it takes us 4 - 4 1/2 hours which is only about 250 miles away.
We wouldn't even dream of driving to Scotland as it would take between 8 - 9 hours to get to Edinburgh - it takes us 9 1/2 to fly to Orlando.
I think it's between 3 - 5 hours to Wales depending on what part you are going.
When John and Donna where here we drove down to Penzance, the Minniack Theatre and Lands End. We had a picnic at Lands End and then drove back along the coast road to Plymouth - we were gone for the whole day.
We may be small compared to the US but it takes forever to get anywhere
So do the honeymoon first then come home and get married when Jon's sister can travel See that was easy
