The worst book for me has to be when I had this honors English class and we were suppose to use the whole semester to read War and Peace. I so could not get into it, I hated the writing style, and I was actually bored to tears with it. I ended up doing my paper using Cliff Notes which is not something I had ever ever done before.

Call of the Wild by Jack London. It was the 6th grade and I had to do a report on it. Horribly boring book.

Also The Color Purple was horrid to read. The movie is a million times better.

we listened to this book on tape when driving from sc to oklahoma, i did nearly nod off at times but was quite disapointed in the film afterwards. The film didn't go into enough depth and i seem to remember it was factually incorrect too- i can't remember what it was, we heard it about 7 years ago lol

Wow, for me it goes back to third grade, as I have totally blacked out these books I can't even remember the titles. But let me tell you they were horrible. That was when I knew that if I didn't enjoy something I was reading I wouldn't take it in (even if I read every stinkin' word).
