My DD goes to Catering college and today all the parents were invited to a 3 course meal provided and prepared by the students... it was top class! We had parsnip and apple soup with croutons and freshly baked herb rolls, it was all expertly presented with a swirl of cream in and fanned out. Then we had chicken royale on a bed of rice with balsamic drizzled cherry tomatoes and for dessert we had strawberry shortcake with strawberries and swirls of cream flowers. Coffee or tea with some little petit four cake things?

Yummy! DS is visiting a local college on Friday and had to make reservations for lunch at the restaurant they have which is run by the catering students. It is so popular it is often fully booked!

    Sounds fantastic Helly!

We used to do that at catering college - the general public could come for lunch at a nominal price, it was always packed

    OOoooooooooOOOO! Lucky you! :D

When we visted Tortola, we stopped by the FCI's bakery. It was fun to see what the students had on offer that day.

There is an Orlando Culinary school, but I don't know of any lunches or shops that they use to practice their skills... might have to check into that! :D

It sounds great- I would have loved to go to catering college but there is nothing like that on offer here.
