An abandoned amusement park. This sort of thing always fascinates me but at the same time makes me feel sad. I think it's because of all the pleasure that this place must have given people, now it stands silent and still.

    What do you think?

Wow. It is sad, and kind of eerie, too.

I feel the same about abandoned houses. I always wonder who left it behind? What happened in the owner's life that the house was allowed to be left empty and fall to ruin?

    CREEPY!!!!!

But I love the stories that go with places like that. Sort of like reading about the old Sanatiriums and looking at pictures of the way they were.

Well there's a setting for a Scooby Doo episode if ever I saw one.

It is quite sad to see places like that just sitting and decaying though.

That really is quite creepy - but fascinating I agree.

Has anyone been ever been to Tyneham in Dorset?

It is a village on the firing ranges in Dorset and it was taken over by the MOD in 1943 - the villagers all had to move out - there is a note on the church door asking the MOD to look after the village until the villagers returned - they never did.

Very sad place - really moved me when we visited :(

We used to go quite frequently Lisa but not since we've had Owen. It always brings a lump to my throat whenever I see the graves in the churchyard and look at the photos in the school. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had to leave my home like that.

We have a very sad abandoned amusement park that I went to as a kid . Old Vintage rides . The creepy thing is the Fun House , the creepy clown is still in the window .
Kind of like River Country at WDW .
