4.20 this morning we were woken up to a very strange noise

it sounded very close and was a repeated banging/knocking sound

    was it robbers?

was it Matthew jumping on the bed?

was it the side gate banging and crashing about?

was it one of our cats stuck somewhere/ coughing up a hairball?

No , it was a badger lying on its back nibbling the side gate!

Awww, I love badgers, and hedgehogs...and racoons, and chipmunks...lol all those little animals that can do some serious damage to lawns and gardens!

One night I was woken by a wicked noise. Crashing and banging... looked out my front window (over the street) to see a family of racoons having a good old go at my trash can! I'd been home to Maine and brought back a ton of clams and had friends in. I thought I'd put the shells in tightly closed bags in a metal can with a tight fitting lid...

I was wrong! Those racoons were having a grand old time with those clam shells, picking out little bits that were left. What a mess I had to clean in the morning, and unfortunately, I wasn't the only one they woke. The neighbors were not amused.

Welcome to our new home! It's a lovely and friendly place. If you haven't joined yet, do register. It's a great place to make friends and share all those Disney secrets!!
