I've never made it, MystikPiglit. I sorta' kinda' know what it is (chunky condiment made from various ingredients, savory not sweet ) but have only ever made jam, jelly, preserves and conserves!
Any good recipes from Nigella or other chefs/cooks/cooking sites?
Adrian's mum used to make tomato chutney apparently. I could get him to ask her for the recipe.
Chutney doesn't have to be chunky, witness Coriander Chutney, which is a staple in our house. We like it not only with Indian food, but Donna loves to put it in her tomato soup. We don't make it though as it is readily available in the grocery.
