    Tuesday 14th/Wednesday 15th April

Granny collected us for our few days in Ireland at 7pm, after driving for around an hour we hit rain - lots of rain.

It was very heavy rain and poor Granny had to drive through it for a loooong time. After a couple of wrong turns due to roadworks, bad road signs and too much rain we arrived at Pembroke Harbour at 12.30am Weds morning.

Luckily it had dried up by then so when we boarded at around 2am and settled down in our cabin (eventually....after the boys had stopped jumping around on the bunks!) we were extremely pleased to hear the Captains voice telling us the crossing should be a pleasant and comfortable one - phew!

Fits and bursts of sleep for the next 4 hours and we 'came alongside' at Rosslare harbour at 6.45am. we were off and at Bill and Anns by 7am for a lovely cooked breakfast which was very welcome after all those hours.

Hang on in there for part 2 with pics!

Am hanging on to same branch as Diane.

I'm sure a nice meal was definitely a welcomed sight after the journey.

I unpacked, the boys played around in the garden and Grannny went up for a couple of hours sleep. It was cold, wet and windy - what's new?!

After lunch we had a trip to the beach, down some rickety wooden steps - well, when i say we, i mean the boys. I got 1/2 way down the steps and decided i wasn't going any further - I just took photos instead!

    Weds 15th cont.

After that we headed for Forth Mountain, up and down some muddy bumpy roads to the Marion Grotto, spotting the satellite towers on the way. We walked up the hill to the grotto and said a prayer for Granny and Grandpas health and happiness then the boys climbed on some rocks.

On the way back down DS9 said "Mum, what's wealth?"

" It usually means you're rich" i said "Why do you ask?"

"Well you said a prayer for Granny and Grandpas wealth up there"

Perhaps i should have done that as well.......!

We popped in to see my Aunty and Uncle on the way back to the house where we had dinner, showers and settled down for the evening listening to the thunder and lightening storm going on outside!
