Yes, my limited understanding is that anything with aspirin (salycilic acid) is contraindicated in children under 16 because of the potential risk of developing Reyes Syndrome. It used to be that children with 'flu were not given aspirin as the connection seemed stronger with that illness, but it's grown to not using aspirin in children at all.
I consumed tons of aspirin, anadin and junior disprin as a child.
