The European Union's health commissioner Andorra Vassiliou met EU foreign ministers on the subject and advised people to reassess their travel plans.

"They should avoid travelling to Mexico or the United States of America unless it is very urgent for them," she said.

I don't remember being told to over-panic in my work briefing.

The thing is.. NO ONE knows who serious it is, and how serious it could get... so they are trying to contain it...

I dont see how they can do that though..... at least here, people are still going to work, stuck in closed spaces the whole day with air conditioning, and traveling in crowded public transportation... stupid if you ask me

This is the info I received this morning...seriously

There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands.

Put your used tissue in the wastebasket.

Clean your hands after coughing or sneezing.

Wash with soap and water or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner. When soap and water are not available, alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers may be used. You can find them in most supermarkets and drugstores. If using gel, rub your hands until the gel is dry. The gel doesn't need water to work; the alcohol in it kills the germs on your hands.
