If you're looking for a really *easy* way to achieve this effect, I can't recommend the photobucket editing tool highly enough!

Ok, Rosie, here ya go....I'm just gonna copy and repost this from the other thread so others can see it as well!

Once you've uploaded a photo to photobucket (www.photobucket.com), click the edit button (there's several places to find this, let me know if you have trouble). Once on the edit page, you'll see a row of tabs across the top of the screen. If you choose the "GEEK" tab it will take you to a second page. Once there, choose the "smart recolor" option. Once chosen, this will open up a sort of "pop up window" on top. In the right hand corner of the "pop up" you'll see a video tutorial. Watch it. I'm not being flip, I swear, but there is NO way I could explain it any better than this step by step walk through does. The only thing I have to add to what you will learn from the vid tutorial is that if you want to just have the "color splash" (and the rest in B&W) choose the color black or gray as your "recolor" option (this will make more sense when you get started )

Give it a try and have some fun, it does take a bit of patience and finessing, but you'll get it! Can't wait to see the results! If you have any questions, give me a shout!

Like Becca said, definitely watch the video! Honestly, I would have had no clue as to what to do without it.
