    This is Shogun.
My computer has crashed. When I start it up it comes up with the page saying start up safe mode or with networking or command or normal.
It has a 30 second count down then continues for a few seconds then shuts down and re-starts in the same loop.
Any ideas apart from a full restore?

Keith it starts in safe mode then just switches off then the screen goes into no signal, and it then restarts into the safe mode start up page.

do you have the XP original cdrom around anywhere? you could boot off that and do a repair and possibly a system restore to a few days ago

Not got a re boot disc, but do have a set of discs for a complete reset to factory settings.

I have lots of work stored on my computer that i have not backed up onto my external hard drive, silly i know.

That means if i do a complete reset i will loose everything.
