Typically, the Florida afternoon rain showers only last about 15 to 30 minutes. Growing up down in Tampa, we used to say that it would rain every day at noon and 5. You could set your watch by it. But typically, they don't last long at all. Put your ubiquitous yellow poncho on and enjoy it.

    Tom (... I ain't afraid of a little rain!)

Tom's got the right idea Stick on a poncho and continue with whatever you were doing.

I detest ponchos so my advice is -

Pop into a shop and browse around.
Sit and have a drink or a bite to eat.
    Go into a sit-down show.

Actually to be fair it's not the ponchos I loathe as much as the inconsiderate people who brush against me when they are wet and I'm not.... Okay, rant over.
