    90. Not that it makes a difference. I still couldn't get the one I wanted.

    They just keep changing things!

To be honest, I don't know how anyone goes to WDW without belonging to a site like this, as you'd be totally lost on the ins and outs of the place.

you would not be~li~eve the amount of people I have met at WDW restaurants that have walked away discouraged as they had no clue that they had to make ADR's . One guest was ordering food at the bar in Ohanas to take back to their resort .

It`s really annoying when you pay good money to stay on site and then discover that you can`t dine in the restaurant at your resort if you haven`t made an ADR.
Doing away with all of those stupid dining plans and bringing back the good old days is my wish.

I completely agree with you - even though we love planning and I am quite happy phoning in advance, it would still be nice to think we could get some of the more minor restaurants if we just decided to on the day, without a very long wait.

I also think it gives a very bad impression of the place to first timers, those that (heaven forbid! ) book a holiday and then turn up, if the can't get anywhere to eat onsite (and especially in the hotel they are staying at!). Disney make a big deal about inclusive transportation etc which is all very well but you would then be a bit stuck if everywhere was booked up.

    totally agree.
The first year we went, I wasn't a member of (and didn't know existed) any online Disney related site. I thought I had everything planned
We didn't do too badly on eating out as the parks were quiet but, I did miss major attractions such as Fantasmic, Wishes etc becasue I just didn't realise how brilliant these things were from the guides.

I truly miss the old spur of the moment dining. I can remember EPCOT especially where you walked up to a kiosk and spoke to a person you saw on the TV screen to make your reservation.

I think Disney have shot themselves in the foot with all the dining plans. And even with that they offer the free dining but then don't bother to explain to folks that they still need to make an ADR 90 days out. Then folks who have sometimes paid big bucks for a dining plan show up expecting to be able to eat where they want only to find out nothing is available.
