    Yes

I have soft contacts and I never have a problem. Then again I don't take them out nearly as much as I should

    Thanks Shelly.
We've never done any of the waterparks before.....basically because my eyesight is so bad. It's not safe to wear glasses but I always assumed contacts would float out if you got water in your eyes.

I've kept them in before for DC but wore goggles all the time in the water. I wouldn't want to do this at a waterpark.

I never did when I wore them, but then again, it's been years since then.

My optician said that the chlorine (if it gets in) really dries them out and it hurts like hell as they adhere to your eyes!

I wear my contacts all the time in the water. Sometimes if I've been in for ages the pool chemicals or salt can make them seem a little sorer than usual at the end of the day but nothing a good overnight clean won't sort. I have monthly disposables, but will take daily disposables to the Maldives too as I intend to be snorkelling frequently.

I don't go swimming so I don't know about that but I went on the family raft ride at BB once and it went under a waterfall, both of my lenses stayed in but washed to the side of my eye so I couldn't see a thing The CM had to help me out of the raft and DH had to escort me to the restroom so I could dry my eyes out - after a root around I found them and got them back in place

Mine are disposable though and are thinner than regular soft lenses.

Actually I have opened my eyes in the water with contacts on before. If you aren't moving around much just straight underwater swimming the pressure will keep the contacts in your eyes. I agree that the chlorine doesn't feel so great if you stay in a long time but I've never had a problem otherwise in water.

I've worn my "swimming" before (though I have never in my entire life actually "swam"). I wear gas permeable lenses so they are a bit different from soft lenses, but I've never had a problem...I wear them oftentimes when I shower as well.
