A few months back I got pain in my elbow which wasn't too bad. It came and went a few times but I ignored it. About two weeks back, I got a far stronger pain and have tried to live with it.
My job doesn't help as I do a lot of heavy lifting etc.

Anyway, I couldn't stand the constant pain which was getting worse by the day so put an appointment on to see the doctor.
Just got back. I have a bad case of tennis elbow and also golfers elbow which I've never heard of!

I have a sick note for two weeks which I really don't want to take as we are short staffed right now. Then, if things haven't gone back to normal, I have to go for a steroid injection in the beginning of July.
So, I've been told to rest my arm as much as possible.

I can't take Ibuprofen because of the pills I already take. Paracetamol never work with me. Codein (sp!) make me ill. So, just bags of frozen peas for me

What am I gonna do with myself for at least two weeks

I've had tendonitis in my elbow before. It's not fun so I feel your pain.

Awwww, Diane, I really do know what you are going through . I got tennis elbow from raking the yard of all things . It got so bad I could not even raise a glass of water to mouth without shooting pain . It brought tears to my eyes . They also call it tendonitis .
I bought an elbow brace which helped and the doctor had me on celebrex . It finally healed, but it took about 6 months . Next step would have been a shot to the bone , cortisone ? Glad it didn't get to that point .
    Hope you heal soon .

Awww, Diane, that's awful! I hope it clears and you don't have to get that steroid injection.

But please stop worrying at not being at work! If you can't lift things you'd be in their way anyway, and it's not your fault! You need the time to heal.

What are you going to do? Hope we have nice weather, get lots of books in (not heavy ones though cos your elbow doesn't need to be lifting them :D ), spend even longer on Secrets.....
