I was looking at a wide angle lens, I have been told the sigma one would be best.
My question is would I really notice the difference taking photos with a wide angle, I use my 18mm-55mm kit lens for all my shots.

Which sigma are you thinking of? 10-20?

I mean, if so, yes you'll see a difference. I cant remember which slr you have but a 10mm would probably be 15 or 16mm on your camera which is really very wide.

To be honest at that kind of width, it gets a bit unnatural really. I'd only use it in very special circumstances

Right, so a 10mm would end up as a 16mm in old money which is still very wide to be honest. You'll definitely see a difference between that and 18 (which would equate to 29mm which isnt really very wide at all

So it's all down to the type of photography you want to do really
