We probably wont make it until next weekend, hopefully by then we'll be able to get some good seats in the IMAX 3D and also find a suitable sitter (AKA Grandma hahaha) for Tatiana
Boked tickets for tomorrow night at 7.30pm can't wait.
We can't go until Jordan gets back from Scout camp this weekend...probably Sunday. But a friend of mine saw it last night at midnight...and she hated it. :( And she's probably the biggest HP fan I've ever met (She's the librarian at Jordan's elementary school)
I thought it was very good, it truly shows the cast growing up. But due to the length of the book, much was lost. I'm very glad they are making the final movie into 2 seperate movies.DS 12 enjoyed it very much. Don't know what I'll look forward to after all is said and done, we truly are huge fans. Twilight is good but for me can't replace Potter!!!
Well I'm going to be the voice of gloom and say it was "OK" but not great.
They lost a lot as tinkfan says, so much so that DW who hasn't read the books was asking about this and that.
The book itself was mainly a setup for the final installment and true to that, the film was long but without much REALLY going on for a lot of it. Poor Ron and Hermione had hardly anything to do in the whole thing!
All tonights showings were fully booked at the cinema we go to, so it's a huge hit already as it was always going to be
The next two films should be awesome but this one was just ok
Do you think that perhaps WB truly just don't care so much about making the film as excellent as the first few? They are going to be a MASSIVE hit no matter what, and let's face it- even if some people say it was rubbish near enough everyone is talking about it and will probably buy it on DVD or see it at the Cinema! Even if it's just to complete the collection.
Nah I think they've spent a fortune, tried really hard and done all the right things It's just that the books they're up to now are huge and tightly written with loads of detail.Originally Posted by josh.p., post: 150068
As it was the film was 2hrs 30mins and unfortunately for this book, it was all about giving the reader loads of detail which becomes essential for the final installment.
