I'm so sorry, Wendy ! I can tell you although I don't have the same, I had tendonitis
(tennis enbow) and it was horrible . I could not even lift a 12 oz glass of water to my mouth without tears . I finally got a cortisone injection . It burned and hurt, but the next day, it was sore and the next back to normal . I was on a script of Celebrex for 2 weeks also and I've been fine . Little tinge here and there , but otherwise good .
I think you will be planning your trip .

Awe Hun I am sorry to hear your are having a really bad time. Waiting for appointments for the news you need to hear is the hardest. Beth had the steroid injection in her hips and it's a fantastic pain relief drug that lasts six months. It really helped her.

My Auntie has this as well Wendy and she has just had a knee replaced with the next one being done in 6 months. I can't say if has worked or not as she is only 4 weeks post op. However she is 63 and has had the injections for the past 20 years. It has only been this past year when her consultant felt she needed a knee replacement.
But my story is my story and l hope you get what you need and our happy with.

I've had a cortisone injection in my left shoulder when I had the rotator cuff injury. At first I didn't think it did a thing (no pain on injection) but within days the shoulder was free (it had been frozen) and I was able to carry on with PT and now have full use of the it once again.

I hope it works as well for you. At least it should give you some time without pain.
