    I use an etrex too. Does everything I need it to do. I wouldn't go for a top model unless you're thinking of hiking across Dartmoor at night or something. And it doesn't matter how much you spend - they all go crazy under tree cover. A basic model is fine to get you to a few feet from the cache site and most of them will have a clue to help you find it from there.
