    :D

    Saturday - can't remember what we did but Daddy was with us so he paid.

    Sunday - Steven spent the day with Grandad while we went to see the new Harry Potter - another zero cost day.

    Monday - swimming lesson - 4.95, pottery painting at local garden centre - 14

    Tuesday - swimming lesson - 4.95, rest of day in garden

    Wednesday - swimming lesson 4.95, rest of day in house as couldn't use garden due to idiot down road with massive bonfire.

    Thursday - swimming lesson - 4.95, lunch from baker - 2.45, rest of day was a Legofest.

    Friday - swimming lesson - 4.95, tickets for G-Force 3-D - 14.60, lunch in MuckDonalds - 6.67

    Total = 65.42

    Also as a consequence of this week's intensive course of swimming lessons I have booked him on to the next course as he can officially swim now. Term time weekly lessons - 74.25

    Next week we're in Devon - Daddy's paying.

    It's not that I'm thick or anything but I was just sat here wondering how you do it so cheaply and then I remembered. I have 3 children. I am off to freecycle at least one.

    Claire, you wouldn't, you'd be lost without them :)

    Yep he can swim a width across the teaching pool so officially he's a swimmer and can be booked on to swimming courses and not learning to swim courses.

    I'm well pleased. Amazing what those instructors can do in a week.

    Our local swimming pools are doing free swimming for all school kids on a keep fit campaign. So the kids have a choice of a fun pool or a proper lanes swimming pool with diving boards etc.

    Wish I could get in for under 16's but I don't think I could get away with it
