We are going to WDW on Aug. 28 and staying at ASMovies for 9 nights. We booked the trip last month but the truth is I am not that excited about the trip. We have gone at least once a year since 1999 and this will be my 17th time going. I am always excited about going. I am usually into the planning mode a few weeks prior but for some reason i am not into it. I feel like staying somewhere local(Jersey Shore) and relaxing but the wife and kids wont hear of it. I'm hoping that once I get there and check in I will get that magical feeling and become excited about being there.

Awwww! It's no fun not being really into an upcoming holiday, especially when it's at WDW. I'll bet you are working too hard!

Maybe you can compromise. When you get here, they can do the WDW park "thing" and you can lounge around the pool, at least for a day (or go to a water park)...kind of like doing the Jersey shore thing, you know?

I sure hope the visit goes well for you and that you have a wonderful time.

Im sure you will love it once you are there!

and since you do go very frequently you can take advantage of that and relax, enjoy the pools, have nice meals, long walks, etc...

Oh yeah, there is nothing wrong with hanging out by the pool for a while! It's your vacation, do what you want. Get something nice to drink and enjoy the sun and water. Just because you are at disney does not mean you have to be doing a park every moment. One of my favorite trips is when I spent many hours on the hammock at the CS.

But again, like I said, the magic will come and get you.

Aww, I'm sure you'll be fine once you get there. Try to think of a couple of things that you still haven't seen or done in WDW. That should spark your planning instinct.

Hope you're able to just kick back and relax a little, Butterhead! Sometimes you just need some time to decompress before you can even think about enjoying a holiday--even at WDW! for a quick restoration of holiday spirit!

Been there, done that. It's a weird feeling isn't it? Having said that, like everyone else I have a feeling that once you're there you'll get right into the swing of things

Try a different angle, slow things down, sit by the pool and just *unwind*
