    Generally speaking, for those items to which sales tax applies (merchandise) 6.5%, although it can be a bit different depending upon the area in which you are purchasing the products. Some cities have different rates.

    For room tax it can vary from 11% to 12% or sometimes 12.5% I think.

    Tax is not charged on many food items (that would normally be purchased at a grocery market).

    Depends which county you are in sale and tourist tax is charged on hotel rooms which is anything from 11 - 13% and sales tax on good si from 6 -7%. Polk is 7%. Normally when you book a hotel from the UK it is included in the price.
