Beautiful Job to your darling Daughter and you :)
Well done..... Being an Ambulance man ...she did the right thing to reasure and calm the man, often those that have a fit do come round within a few moments and are fine but sometimes they do require further medical checks so calling an Ambulance is the right thing to do as trained staff on the other end of the phone can give advice and with the help of the bystander like your daughter assess the seriousness of the situation and react accordingly.
The store manager should be reported to her head office not as a matter of disrespect to her but ONLY in respect that the store should have had a First Aider on duty and the store will need to review there First Aid procedures.
We do a lot of First Aid at Work courses and see many people from all walks of life and most all want to do the course for there own reasons even though its there works that are sending them.
Well done Natty, what an absolute star.
We were in Tesco's this week and an elderly gentleman had fallen down the moving staircase - the First Aider almost caused a dozen other accidents by running around like a headless chicken and almost knocking people over to get out of his way, it does make you wonder sometimes how companies chose who should hold their first aid certificates.
Well done Natty - you should be very proud!
Next trip - Bali! (March 2015)
Lol@Mum... Thank you all for the positive and really nice messages, she's smiling from ear to ear.
Well done, Natty!
You're a terrific person to have around in an emergency. :)
I agree, most places don't have their workers or their management trained in First Aid. Well done DD for keeping cool and calm in an emergency!!Originally Posted by Tink, post: 158911
