Gotta love leaving out of NYC
i love that photo!
That is one of the best photos I have ever seen !! Well done.
Wow. Truly wow
I'd like to see that view one day
Yea not bad
Love that picture!!!!
Beautiful start Becca.
Now get out of here and enjoy some sunshine for a change!! About to loose it with day after day of low deck clouds, cold and rain. Def. not the norm for SE Virginia at this time of year. Hopefully there will be blue skies, fair seas, and trailing winds my friend.
Good morning!!! We've arrived in Florida and have boarded our bus to EPCOT for the day! I'm currently biting my tongue so as not to correct the barrage of misinformation currently being bandied about by the other passengers (seriously people, it's Disney WORLD, not Land) and I just overheard a five minute conversation between a guest and a cruise director that went something like this:
Are you going to Disney?
Yes, you'll want the Disney bus, then.
I couldn't stand it, I intervened.
The cruise has been quite lovely so far. Departure and day 1 saw rough seas and Jon experienced a touch of sea sickness the first night and full day. Luckily I'd brought some Bonine, which helped until yesterday around North Carolina when the seas evened up and the sun came out.
The spa room has been an amazing experience. Truly. Absolute peace. An aromatherapy sauna, two other sauna rooms, a Thelasso pool, and these stunning relaxation rooms...we booked a couple's experience yesterday (for an additional cost of $95) that included a private rooms for salt scrubs, mud mask, milk bath, and a private sauna and rainforest shower (all ours for an hour). When we arrived there had been a slight mix up with our appt and they were double booked. They offered to accommodate us an hour later...at no charge! I was quite impressed with that, actually. It was an incredible experience, highly recommended. The food has been quite good - Jon had short ribs last night that he deemed utterly fantastic.
We are looking forward to our day at EPCOT! I'll post some photos along the way!
Doesn't that just set your teeth on edge? Sheesh. I'm hoping you are arriving by now. It's time for the front gate to be open, so you should be a walk in. It's been pretty busy lately, so I hope you have a good day!
The weather is nothing short of glorious today, so enjoy every minute!!
I thought that was ou sailing by!! Hehe. Seas were a bit rough then, but like you said it has gotten sunny and mild temps for a change! Hope the rest of the trip is going great!
The rest of the trip was absolutely wonderful. Exactly what we were hoping for - relaxing, peaceful and restorative.
My dad had a small scare while we were at sea, but, thankfully, following a few tests and a trip to his doctor, (as well as the most expensive phone call I will likely EVER make) things seem to be fine - just a scare and nothing more.
We arrived home this morning, and are currently on the train back home. I'll post a few more photos later on, but for now, here are a couple from our arrival. (The tallest building there is the new 1 World Trade Center, aka the Freedom Tower.)
Great photos Becca! Welcome home. Did you see where someone base jumped off the tower yesterday? What the what?
