I was just looking at a website to see if Ava would be big enough for Kali river rapids. She is, but then I noticed that it said the Great Goofini ride has a minimum age of 3. Ava is only 2. Ben went on it when he was 2. Is this a new requirement or is the website wrong?

I thought Disney went by height not by age  I would have thought you'd be ok.

I think this website might be wrong as j checked on the Disney website and it just gave a height restriction, not age.

I've never known it to be anything other than height, which is upsetting to some older children who are short.

I'm positive she will! Should have seen her on the runaway train at Alton Towers last week! I guess I'm lucky to have two quite tall children though :)

Oh definitely, it means they can go on a lot more rides than other children their age. It's good that they like the coasters as well

I agree, it seems as though height would be the ruling factor as it all comes down to safety - and that's all to do with the height of the child.

I'll never forget the first time Baleigh rode "Kali River Rabbits" she was juuuuuuuuust barely of required height and the CM's could see how excited she was and they made SUCH a huge deal of her special wristband and stamp, and when we finally made our way to the ride, you would have thought Cinderella herself had arrived!! They told her they'd "been waiting on her to arrive" and they had prepared her "special seat JUST the way she liked - on the wettest side!" (She had to sit in the seat with the extra bar).

She was beaming! She didn't take that bracelet off for days! And to this day, we all know that whoever sits by Baleigh ALWAYS gets the wettest!

Wow. :sorry: that was quite the Kali tangent for a thread entitled the Great Goofini!!! Sorry!

Because she was *just* at height, she had to sit in a special seat on the raft. When we arrived at the first checkpoint (where you enter and either go through the regular line or the fastpass line) they measured her and gave her a paper-like bracelet (think MNSSHP bracelet). Then, at the second checkpoint, where they stage your party, she had to show them the bracelet and have it stamped (indicating acknowledgement of her height) and was then directed to the "special seat".
