They're fine, i've flown within the US with them but not transatlantically. Mum and Dad used them though and they got a free upgrade so they were happy with them. I don't honestly think there's much between them all now tbh. I'd go with the cheapest- it's only 7 ish hours or so on the way there isn't it?

I've flown United domestically a time or two - as Jules says, there's not many airlines that are set apart from others anymore (though there are a few that absolute no's). If it's direct, I'd go for it.

I used to fly United all the time, both for business and pleasure. Right now I don't do any flying unless I have to for business, because Donna doesn't like to fly. I've flown United both domestically and internationally and they've always been pleasant to fly. Of course when I was flying so much for business I was a member of their Premiere Frequent Flyer Club and frequently got free upgrades, the best of which was First Class from Newark, New Jersey to Seoul, Korea. Also the first time Donna ever flew to Europe we got a first class upgrade from Dulles to Frankfurt. They had been asking for volunteers to give up their seats because it was a crowded flight. We weren't married at the time. They called me up to the desk to upgrade me and I turned it down because of it being her first trip. They then said, well we have 1 more first class seat available and they gave it to her.

I used to fly United domestically in the US a long time ago. Back then, they were the friendliest bunch I ever encountered - always smiling, nothing was ever too much trouble.

I've not used them for at least a decade, so I have no recent experience.
