Am considering doing a tour on this trip. I've done Keys to the Kingdom, Mickey's Magical Milestones and Behind The Seeds. DH has also done the Steam Train tour.
I had been considering the Wild Africa Trek but it seems as though the Backstage Magic one isn't much different in terms of cost.
Has anyone done either of these?
Also, I'd be on my own as Anthony will be with the kids. Has anyone done any of these alone? Do you feel a bit out of it all or is it still fun?
Any and all opinions would be helpful :)

Ive not done the trek although I'd love to!

Backstage magic is fantastic though. In a way it's like a mega expanded keys to the kingdom in mk/epcot/hollywood studios and some of the resorts.

We did this as a couple, about 4 weeks after it first started. I'd be more than happy to do this alone. The only time you might notice that is when you stop for refreshments to watch the animals for 30 minutes or so. However, I was wandering around watching the animals at different angles during that time, so if you hadn't found anyone to be comfortable with by then it wouldn't matter, as there was still something to do. If you like animals, it's fascinating

I'm thinking of Backstage Magic for Chris and I this year, it's a shame you will be gone, otherwise you could have done it with us.

I can't see that there will be a problem with being on your own, from what I've heard the guides make everyone feel comfortable.

Well I did Keys to the Kingdom for the second time in December and EPCOT undiscovered futureworld

Both were walking tours and oh my gosh, there was a LOT of walking... in fact the EPCOT walking really did cause me problems for a few days after.

I'll have to post a bit of a trip report but as interesting as they both were, and they were great, next time I'm hoping to do backstage magic again. I felt in backstage magic, the bus meant less walking and more actual tour! plus there was more actual behind the scenes of the attractions

So this is an old thread :) I've done the wild Africa trek now and would thoroughly recommend it.....and I obviously didn't get eaten by the crocs!

That's right. We were asked if we were all happy to cross the bridges, which we were, but you didn't have to. I wouldn't call them rickety to be honest. I am scared of heights so didn't know how I'd do with it but it was fine. It was an experience not to be missed, and you feel incredibly safe. I can post some bridge pics if you'd like.
