As you can see from this one, you are hooked onto a rail which goes above you.
So there's essentially two walkways. You climb some steps to a tower, which is where a rope is attached to your harness. You walk along that walkway alone, and then when you get to the next tower, you turn and walk along the other walkway - which is when the person behind you begins.
As you can see from the second photo, there is netting underneath the walkway, and high up the sides. I'm pretty tall and there's absolutely no way you could fall over. It's a pretty easy walk, as long as you're wearing appropriate footwear!
omg..... you were so brave!!!! I'm dizzy just looking at the photos
That does look pretty high!!! Won't stop me doing it though
It does look high but once you're up there you honestly don't notice. It's an incredible experience to be in the middle of WDW, totally alone, and in silence. It's beautiful. The only problem we had was that the rain started coming down pretty heavily towards the end of our walk so we didn't spend as much time walking across the bridges as we might have done.
Figment did this last summer. She used an ecv and they were able to accommodate her needs. I would think you could avoid the bridge if you asked.
yeah I wouldn't be up for that, I was terrified on Soarin
Vikki, did you have a harness when you crossed the bridge?
It would be a shame to miss the tour just because of the bridge. Just do it without :-D
You'd love the bit where you spend time at the hide on the savannah, the photo opportunities are incredible
