Although we'd been before, we were lucky enough to snag two reservations to BoG for December 2013.
Both times we ate in the west wing which we prefer over the main dining room because it's A LOT quieter and has the special rose show and is generally darker and nicer to eat in. However the dining room does have snow outside the windows which is nice :)

We noticed this time that another dining room had been opened so perhaps there will be more reservations there now that the third room has opened.

There are some nice little touches on the table such as the candles and the red rose napkin

The menu is pretty typical for a nice-end Disney restaurant

Of course... BoG has alcohol too YAY!!!!!!! A word about that.... despite all the people who moaned all over the Internet about this change in policy and said it would result in drunken people staggering around the magic kingdom, they've been proven completely wrong IMHO. The prime danger in MK is still the kamikaze stroller pushers and the ECV speed racers. The sooner they extend the alcohol allowed policy to the other MK restaurants the better.

We had a nice wine called Conundrum

The French onion soup is a must! It's as good as I've tasted at some high end restaurants

The main courses are equally good in our experience. I had the steak which was perfectly cooked, DW had the lamb which was very tasty although perhaps a little pink (but that's normal for lamb really)

For dessert we had the chocolate cake

The meal was all very hot and served very nicely served by the busy servers. She did forget the wine until reminded but I think it was down to how busy the restaurant is.

Bread was brought out at the start, very nice too, and butter

I definitely recommend BoG, it's the best restaurant in the magic kingdom IMHO including cinderellas royal table which was quite frankly a bit of a let down.

It remains very hard to get a reservation for and shows the need for more dining options in MK.

The other thing to note is it's ALL the way at the back of the park so plenty of time is needed to get there from the entrance. Then there'll be a queue to get to check in for the reservation. Also because the place is so busy, they are being quite strict about reservation times and we heard two parties refused for being more than 15 minutes late.

We ate there for both lunch and dinner on our recent trip. The newly opened room is the library which formerly had only been open for lunch. The first time I had the French onion soup I thought it quite tasty but a bit on the salty side. This time it had less of a salty taste and IMHO

When we ate there in August I had the potato leek soup and the Steak. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed having my first cold beer in MK. I agree with Keith that the other MK restaurants should serve beer/wine with dinner. I don't think serving drinks in table service restaurants will lead to drunk rowdy people intruding on others good times. I look forward to February when I can make my ADRs for BOG for our Aug 14 trip.

I actually found lunch to be really good. The food was superb, so much better than a lot of other quick services places in MK. We also ate there for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed that too.
